I would go buy a used 48 (they seem to be everywhere here) and disassemble it.
First mod- 2" gooseneck on the frame.
2nd mod- flst front end (with fender).
3rd mod- 2" stretch in swingarm.
4th mod- rework seat/ oiltank area to accept round oil tank without making it look like an afterthought.
5th mod- extended length fender struts (probably 2")
6th mod- heritage softail style rear fender- located to use a 1991-2005 dyna seat.
7th mod dyna fuel tank.
should end up with a bike that has more room than a roadking, or flst- but weighs 200lbs less than either of them... not that I have been obsessing about this much or anything...

I would keep my Breakout and get a Road Glide Ultra.

I have the money so I have 1 or two of each of the HD familes.

My favorite is the EVO2 motor. That's why I have an 11 XL1200L, 09 XR1200 and a 08 Buell XB12XT.

I'm doing about a 2K ride to Sturgis and back this year on the XL. The Road Glides and Ultra will just sit neglected in the garage. They will be on life support with a tender and Sta-Bil though.

If money was no object? I would consider a Breakout or Fat Bob, I suppose. Or maybe a Night Rod Special. But if money wasn't an object, I'd keep the Sportster, too!

I would keep my current sporty and get a Fatboy low or deluxe. Something in the softtail lineup.

If I had the money for a brand new one, it would be the Street GLide...However, if money was virtually unlimited then it would be a completely custom bike not from a dealer!

Maybe something similar to this...
