Shortening Cables, or gotta replace 'em?
When you guys install drag bars are you cutting and shortening the cables, or spending the $$$$ to replace them all?
I've seen a few video's on Youtube on cutting and shortening them yourself... Anybody have any tips or helpful info.? One video said to ONLY ever use 50/50, or 60/40 solder because silver solder won't hold. :/

Maybe that’s something that can be done, but it’s not a method I’m familiar with.
I’ve made some of the stock cables work with my short bars. Consider routing your stock cables other than how they are originally configured. I did so with my throttle cables, running them on the opposite side of the frame front down tube. The clutch cable I replace with a used shorter one I found on EBay, but also had to route differently than original installed. Also replaced my front brake line with a new 30” Goodridge.
