Sporty Driving Lights?

Sporty Driving Lights?
I've got a quick question for all you Sportster riders. Anyone ever hang a set of driving lights on the front of their bike? My brother just picked up a 2012 and he wants to hang a set on it. He's been looking at automotive sets but I'd be afraid to hang most of them because they're not very rugged and would probably shake apart in no time.

I guess that would depend on what kind of driving lights your talking about. There are lots and lots of driving lights out there that are designed for use in off road vehicles that will take a ton of punishments. And, naturally, there are lots of driving lights that are actually made for motorcycles as well, they just call them "passing lights" and other names.

Bought my bike used, had the passing lights on it already so I don't know who made them, but they are very solid. Last bike was a road king and I got used to the extra lights so I left them on the sporty. Don't really like the look of them but do like how well they work.http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/...ps657c8090.jpg

HD used to make them. I have them on my 06 XL1200. HD part # 69284-05. Back in 07 they sold for $284.95.
