The HD dealer said it is curved and couldn't be done. In respect to the aluminium raised edge decal I have heard they fade quickly.

This picture is what Im looking at doing.
I don't think the edges will fade. It's not as if there's going to be constant wear.

The emblems do bend a little. So you can make them curve or flatten. They're also called tank emblems. The "stickers" are decals and should probably go under clear coat.

They are curved, in fact I just put HD metal emblems on my aftermarket King tank they were designed for the Fat Bob - I had to put them into a press and slowly flatten them keeping some of the curve on one end, nevertheless they snapped right at the start of the wanted curve, but that was actually a good thing as it allowed them to fit perfectly on the tank with no sign of breakage.

Be aware all HD tank emblems are made to fit the tank they were designed for and they are Metal and not so easy to attempt to straighten..

Find an online dealer like Ronnie's Harley Davidson. You can search and purchase oem parts by model. I've ordered the black strut covers that fit on a 48 to replace the chrome covers on my 1200C. You can also buy filters, oil etc to get free freight for your decals. Or you use to be able to combine them.
