Default new 48 rim, is this normal

Hey Guys,

just mounted my brand new original HD 48 spoke wheels to my bike (without the tire) then i saw this wobble......is this normal....?

Looks like the wheel needs to be trued. The spokes can be tightened in the right spots in order to make the wheel track straight. You are probably fine to ride on it until you are able to get it fixed, but you might have some high speed wobble since the wheel is out of balance.

might be normal seeings the tire is not mounted and balanced. does appear bent in the video but might be deceiving without balancing it.

To answer your question "NO" The wheel needs to be trued. Balancing has no effect on a crooked rim. Did you say this was new rim? Did you relace the rim? If it is new take it back and get them to true it up. Out of specs.
