I have an 09 1200C and recently added a 2003 DYNA Wide Glide 100th Anniversary to the stable. I can tell you there is now way I would line my Dyna up against the Sporty and expect to take it. You should of told him "Yeah it is a Girls bike, and your Ole lady Loved riding it like a girl last weekend"

I sure am glad Chevy and Ford and Dodge and Toyota and Snap-On etc type folks are not so hung up on who wears what and when like some Harley people are. Damn get real people dress how you want who gives a ****.
Dude I have to comment on this- very few guys that wrench on their bikes these days have the scan tools and education and so on to work on EFI.
So any extra tuning besides what closed loop accomplishes that gets done or needs done is done on a computer or a dyno is is what it is 21st century electronics all Harley's from 07 till now have it.

fwtw I had to order one for my 06 XL and it had to come from Milwaukee and mine took awhile to get as well couple weeks easy. My Heritage manual they had in stock go figure?
edit: btw in Harley's defense on tuners one size basically fits all its either fully programmable race tuner or just a few items on a street legal tuner fwtw.

This lady certainly didn't get the memo about Sportsters:
http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/3850025856.html
40k miles on 2005 ROAD KING.
So what's the opposite of a RUB? An outlaw biker? I'm sure the majority of us fall somewhere between the two. Closer to one end or the other.
As far as RUBs ruining the rich Harley-Davidson history and tradition, I think Harley-Davidson has done that. They've positioned themselves as a cult for yuppies who want to rebel. They're like the Church of Scientology of motorcycle manufacturers. They're just as concerned with selling clothing and expensive upgrades as they are with their "motorcycle heritage."
The guys at the dealer try to sell me their $450 tuner every time I go in there. The one that requires a $275 dyno session every time you make a change to your bike. Meanwhile the ****ing service manual I ordered hasn't come in after a week. They're more interested in people who want to pay almost a grand for boutique dyno tuning than someone who wants to wrench on their own bike.
I am 100% opposed to Harley-Davidson apparel, barring maybe the occasional T-Shirt. It just tells me I am looking at a guy who was told, "you can't ride a Harley in a Polo Shirt, you have to buy the uniform so nobody knows what a douche you really are," and they believed it. And they put zero down and got 24.99% APR financing. That what Harley-Davidson wants. Don't blame the RUBs. Blame Harley-Davidson for positioning themselves in this way.

I have a XL1200, XR1200 and a Buell XB12XT Since 2008 when I bought the first one here in the Midwest I have never heard anyone call them girls bikes.
Only hear about it on this forum. I guess some do not have real issues to discuss. You know like which oil to use or finger less gloves.
