I get crap from guys at work about riding a Sportster. Especially from non riders & non bike owners.
A non rider may own a bike, but it sits in the garage un-ridden. They tend to be the worst critic of the Sportster.
I say Frick them ,at least I'm riding what I own. BTW the Sportster is the samllest (1200) of my bikes.
It's a great bike, and easy to load on a trailer for a long weekend rides in some other place then flat, hot, South East Texas. Quick trailer trips to Arkansas or fall Texas Hill Country trips with the wife is another reason why I bought a Sportster.

If by bigger, you mean bigger engine then no, I am not. I actually think that the bigger TC engine is a minus for the Low Rider, compared to an XL1200.
Some of us here feel/are too old for that... I customized my 2007 XL1200L for touring (13.5" shocks, intiminators, longer damper rods, windshield, 30T tranny sprocket, sundowner, highway pegs, SE clutch) but still, I wouldn't make lengthy trips on it.
I am only referring to a slightly more comfortable bike than the sportster, not a sofa on wheel.
But anyhow, with his extensive experience, saddleupmc's comment about dynas being less than the sum of their parts, is giving me food for thought.
ps. hey Kevin, u got more pics of her without helm and goggles?

I dont' particularly care much if someone says anything about my 48 because I get too many compliments on it to know better. But another man disrespecting another mans bike goes against the male code of ethics in my book, and speaks volumes about the level of douche bag they are. These are the same ****** that don't wave back at me.
So what.....and Case in point.
