Default LePara Brand Seats

Hi folks.

This is my first post here and I've seen some good comments about the LePara seats here. I have an XL883 Sportster that I've lowered and have everything stock on the bike. The bike is comfortable but while I've been riding in a slightly leaned forward position, I feel like my "reaching" for the bars over some time gets me pretty fatigued.

I've spoken with lots of people and they said to change the seat first - then handlebars if needed. I'm a short rider (5' 6") and I thought of getting a reach seat from Harley. Then I saw the LePera Silhouette LT,Up-Front, Full length Solo seat. This is exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm worried about buying it and then having to toss it.

Anybody who has shopped online before have any suggestions on where to buy this seat? The website I saw this on was JPCYCLES.COM and costs about $300. (Here is the link: http://www.jpcycles.com/catalog/2007...alog/0148.html)

Also, Anybody care to comment on how the seat physically feels (compared to the stock seats)?

Any other suggestions welcome.

I am also 5'6" and used the exact LePera saddle on my bike. The quality is definitely there and I bought mine for the same reasons...better look, lower to the ground and handlebar reach. The saddle is harder than your stock seat but that will be true of most saddles that are lower profile. Less foam=less cushion. Check out the photo in my sig. It's the same saddle you inquired about.

Come to think of it, the pic in my sig sucks! You won't be able to see any detail.

I have a LePera smooth solo silhoutte on my Sporty. It is a quality seat. I paid 129 bucks for it from Jireh Cycles.

look on www.Lepera.com look at the seats and make sure you get the one you want.
WWW.DENNISKIRK.COM has some great prices on these seats also.

I had to sell my '01 sporty last fall. It was a beauty (check it out if I can figure out how to attach. You'll see the Lepera Silhouette LT on it. I think it's the best looking seat out there. Didn't cost that much (less than $200, I think) and it was pretty comfy. Gets you low to the ground too because it's low and slender. The downside is it's so slender my thighs got a little warm when at a stop.

Ill leave the first bad comment on lepera. I also wanted that low look and something to get me lower to the bike.
I bought a lepera barebones solo and sold it after 2 days because it was so uncomfortable. There are couple of posts on here that a group of people say they are not a good seat.

As far as the one in your picture, i cannot vouch for, good luck with what ya get.

I have the Le Pera Daytona Sport LT Series (LC-542S) seat and like it very much. It's well made and very comfortable on four hour rides.
