Default Belt guards and front fenders

I've read all the old threads and appreciate all the great information everyone's posted! Has anybody ever actually suffered a problem they believe was directly related to removing the upper or lower belt guards? OR (dirt in the face aside) had any issues from removing the front fender and not using a brace?

THANKS for you input!

Take them all off! I have no front fender and no belt guards on mine with no issues. Been running it that way for 2 years so far and got about 14,000 miles on my 48.

I've had no problems with my upper fender guard removed. I still have the lower one on.

No, I haven't personally, but then all my belt-drive bikes have all their original fenders and guards. A friend took the 'ugly' belt guards off his shiny new Buell Firebolt the day he bought it, then visited us to show it off. He had already collected a large sharp stone that wrecked his brand new belt and rear pulley.

I have em all off no problems, the belt guards off clean up the rear very nicely and is a must in my book, front fender off to me is an acquired taste i just prefer the look.
