I guess it has Vince and Hines intake and exhaust on it..I just found out. Runs good and clean.

I guess I'm just worried about the rear tire, mileage on it, and the fact its a carb. Which means I should be automatically jetting it no matter what..since its lean from factory.

If it has an aftermarket intake and exhaust, chances are it already has been rejetted. The smaller back tire would make me wonder what's up though.

My '06 is carbed, I have to choke it to start it up first thing in the morning, or anytime it sits for a couple hours, but it's not a huge deal. I can fire it up and be off just as quickly as someone on an EFI bike.

True, thanks edgeofinsanity

Ok so here are the 2 bikes I'm deciding between

2007 Harley 883L Sportster

9K miles, EFI, Screaming Eagle Intake & Exhaust (thrown into the deal are a brand new two seater to swap out, chrome footpegs for the second seater, and a windsheild) SHES LOUD, cuz I've already seen and heard her. I love the sound on her!! $5,200

2006 Harley Sportster 883R

23K miles, Mikuni carb, Vince & Hines intake and exhaust, 3' adjustable lowering springs. (small rear tire not sure why, but it has affected the mileage/odometer) Not sure how she sounds..... havn't seen her. Seller claims shes somewhat loud. $4,700

Just think about something :
- on the EFI to adjust the idle you'll need : a computer , a software , a specific cable , an adjustable EFI module ....
- on the carb you'll need .... a screwdriver !

I have to say that is a very nice and very clean looking 883L. It would be a tough decision for me.

Tough choice, but I like the L. The red lettering on the black paint really pops.

I would get the R. I had an 06. Yeah they have a choke and they need to warm, but carb is the definition of harley, imo. Buy what you want, not what we would get.

+1....dude, that 883L is SUPER SWEET, and with the low miles its almost cherry. Tell him your leaning towards the 06, and see if he'll come down and match the price. All he can say is no......

Yes, I agree, I love the black/red too! I'm just not a huge fan of all chrome, but I would get use to it I'm sure

No I understand, but that R really stands out, and would wicked to own. Yes they need to choke, but its not like you can't ride em while they are choking for a bit right? lol

Seems like mixed opinions. Some like the L, some like the R. Dam I'm gonna have a hella time deciding. They both rock He won't come down. His listed price is $5,800, and I talked him down to $5,200. So that's where it'll stay

This R has lowering blocks. Remove them & it will have correct cornering clearance. Ask what size the rear tire is. It doesn't look small, maybe it's a 130/90-16 or MT90-16. It will be just fine until it wears out, then put correct tire on. It also has a tachometer added, $290. Detachable backrest & rack, at least $350. Lots of unnecessary chrome pieces (I don't like). Does it come with any of the original parts? That original 883R seat is not passenger friendly. The pipes do look loud.
