Cool new J&P gas tank

I just received my new J&P gas tank (part#7200-740) and it sure looks different!! I haven't tryed it on the bike yet, a '97' sporty xl1200c, but was wondering if anyone else has one of these flat bottom tanks on their bike and if they are happy with it or not?? Should I spend a little more and get the tradisional rolled bottom. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this look is really different and I can afford the other tank. Is this just a real cheap tank with a cheap look?? opinions anyone? Of course my wife will have something to say too and she trumps any opinions we all have!!, lol.

Why don't you just do a temporary mount so you and everybody else can see it and offer you a more accurate opinion. It may look great or it might totally suck. But without seeing it mounted, it's hard to make a judgment call.

Post a picture, otherwise it's the blind men with an elephant.
