Very interesting article, good videos.

I think they forgot about one very important thing-

the Iron is the only bike of the three that is a HARLEY DAVIDSON!!!!

Good read.
Is this right tho? I don't think I've ever had my Iron to 40mph in first gear and I beat the living **** outta the thing. "First gear taps out at approximately 42mph"

Article blows...their whole making an obvious point of the sportster being Harley's "starter" bike is so played out and bunk. They totally forget about the owners who DON'T want the couch cruisers. I've been riding for many many many years, i don't want to upgrade to a cruiser. Not saying I won't ever own one, but it sure as hell wouldn't be at the expense of my Sportster.

Jeez man, lay off the stupid starter claims Bryan!

**Ok, well, i should say he's spot on for a lot of the testing results. It's the whole cookie cutter thing lot's of people claim is Harley's MO with it being a starter...nah, it may be for a select few riders, but there are a lot of us that crave everybit of harshness that is the Sportster.

i didn't say it was unreliable. I'm wondering if the bolt is more or less reliable.

side note:
"MY" sportster is unreliable because "I" own it and i can't keep my hands to myself.

If you buy an Iron 883 for performance and don't plan on doing a conversion you got the wrong bike.

The Triumph is ugly.

The Star bolt is a copy that doesn't look as good as the Iron.

I'm sorry but I can't deal with the crappy seam tanks they put on those other bikes, it just makes all those harley copies look so cheap. And the same with the Bonnie, that seam at the bottom of the tank just screams cheap and ruins the look of the bike.
It's one of the big reason I think the Harley's look so much better.

The glides just don't do it for me. Whenever I go to the stealer I always end up looking at the sporties thinking these are some purdy bikes. I love the Superlow with the Sunglow orange and pearl white and those 48s with the orange tanks and the classic decal. Hmmm...
