after waiting for months and months my 48 finally arrived at the dealership earlier this week. Dropped of some parts and set the service team into motion!

From HD I ordered upper and lower rockers, derby cover & drag bars all in black.
I supplied the twisted choppers exhaust, RSD filter and pegs and Joker indicators which they couldn't fit - that was my f-up.

picked her up earlier today and took my first proper ride on an HD. have only ever owned sport bikes in the past and my triumph tiger (which i'm keeping). first experience was nothing short of amazing. a truly visceral ride. you know there's an engine between your legs when you fire up the 1200! pops, shakes, rumbles and vibrates. LOVE IT!

pipes are insanely loud and look great IMO. need to sort out my indicators and do something about the chrome shocks :-)

this truly is a happy day!

 

Congrats on the New Forty-Eight and may you have many enjoyable miles ahead of you, I have rode a few other sportster's - Custom, Iron, Hugger and Nightster but the 48 seems to have an incomparable ride to the rest of them, can't seem to put my finger on why maybe the 130 tire on the front but nevertheless it is truly an enjoyable ride and the 48's appearance looks like the bulldog of all sportsters (to me). Ride on Brother...
