Thanks for all the feedback .. I don't really ride at night very often but when I do the lack of light from my headlight bothers me.. I feel like im only getting about 10 to 15 feet of visibility with is almost useless if something happens to be in the road..

Do take care when being attracted by modern technology. I have HID lights in my car and they are fabulous, best lights I have ever driven behind at night. I bought a genuine H-D HID headlamp conversion for my Glide and while on low beam it made an excellent daytime light, with a remarkably wide beam, at night it is useless. I am converting back to a normal headlamp plus latest high performance bulb.

If you don't often drive at night a change of bulb, as already suggested, will give you better light. Next less expensive upgrade is an E5 reflector with better bulb, which will give you better beam shape. As for the latest LED headlamp, try to find someone who has one already.

What is a E5 Reflector and where do you get it?

I'm gonna try this in my FLSTFB headlight bucket:

Beam goes 100 feet further than the LED.
$140 beats $500!

when i go LED, it will be custom Dynamics, headlight and spot Lights.. until then, 12k or 10k HID is the business!!!
55 shipped for my last kit!!! almost the same price as those regular 35-55 standard halogens!
