Default Crank Vent Solution with Arlen Ness Big Sucker?

I have an Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1
http://shop.arlenness.com/p-641-1988...r-stage-i.aspx

What are my options to divert crank vent oil from the intake? I saw a few other threads but wasn't sure what would work with my specific intake. Still pretty new to these bikes so I need a little more spoon feeding on what is possible. I'd just like something simple I can attach some tubes to and then divert down to the road or a catch can. Something that won't interfere with the intake.

Thanks!

There was a thread a long time ago on this, as it's the one I followed altering my BS II. Fill the holes in the backing plate routing oil into the carb throat with JBWeld, drill new holes into the top/side of the breather bolt mounting area, JBWeld some hose barbs into the new holes in the breather mounting holes you just made to route the oil through hoses down to the ground or a catch bottle.

If I ever find the thread, I post a link back here.

It would seem as though the only way to accomplish my goal without modifying the backing plate would be to get some sort of straight through breather bolt (rather than one with a hole in the side like a typical banjo bolt).

Anyone know of anything like that?

I saw this:

But they want $75! Also I am not sure those would work with the filter on the Arlen Ness, I think they would interfere.

Anything else like that?

Maybe these?

I am not sure they are long enough with the thickness of the backplate added in.

Do what I did...block off the head vents with 1/2" bolts. Pull the cam cover, drill tap the area behind the oil filter, put in a brass fitting, buy the Krankvent PCV unit, make a little oil shield, put cam cover back on, BAM!...good as gold

For now this is the only pic I have that kinda shows what I did. I didn't take any pics as I did it, but I can walk you through. You don't have to have the copper tubing, I did that cause it goes with my "theme". You basically just need the brass fitting, (the Krankvent actually comes with one part# ETCC http://www.et-performance.com/kv.html, yes it's expensive, but you need a good PCV valve that will withstand what the motorcycle will be pumping out).

The bike has 2800 miles. It doesn't seem to USE an appreciable amount of oil but the bottom of my air filter always seems to have a couple drops, and inside it's a bit oily and the ports at the end of the passageway on the Arlen Ness Big Sucker are oily.

I realize that the crank pressure will take the path of least resistance but I thought even without a thread sealer that it would be out the DK breather bolts and not into the intake.

Ideas?

With the Outlaw Breather bolts there is no way for the crankcase air to get into the air cleaner. It is being routed into the atmosphere, not into the intake tract.

If your filter element is oily inside, it is probably just a matter of it being over-oiled...they sometimes over-oil them at the factory.

Regarding- " it's a bit oily and the ports at the end of the passageway on the Arlen Ness Big Sucker are oily." If you are talking about where the breather bolts are, then it is best to use threadlocker or teflon tape or paste.

Here are a couple of links that have info on blow-by and how to minimize it.

+1 - I had oil dripping from mine and realized it was from the K&N filter oil after a cleaning.
