I have an Arai full face, HD 3/4, and Bell 500 Custom 3/4. I wear the full face on the interstate or the 3/4s around town. The Bell runs just a tiny bit snug compared to the others so if you check them out you may want to err on the side of a size up.

The answers on this will be so varied, and pointless because you'll get people bickering which one is safetest.......Wear what you feel comfortable with safetywise and for the conditions.

Just landed my AK-88 from Akoury. Smallest profile DOT I have ever owned. Cool strap release.

shoei's steep price tags are worth every penny in my opinion. mine has been around for 8-10 years and has been abused. other than a few nicks it is still very comfortable and everything works like the day it was new.

I wear a full face Arai Profile (SNELL 2010). It's very comfortable for a full face.

Dont helmets have a dating system, much like hard hats?

I don't think it's a system per se, I usually just buy them a couple drinks and see where things go.

I am pretty sure that helmets have a life span like a hard hat. The padding breaks down and gets filled with dust mites like an old mattress
