Just another 48

I'm going to go ahead and paint the fenders. I'm going for the "full custom paint job" look instead of the "oh, you just swapped the tank" look. And while I like flat black, it's way over done now. I want to stand out a little. That's why I wear bright shoes to work, and why I picked the specific shade of orange for the bike. I haven't seen it done and I like to be different.
My 8 year old cracked me up the first time he saw the tank on my bike. He walked into the garage and said "woah, that's really freakin' orange! I like it!"

Got the fenders painted and installed. You can really see the color shift when it's out int he sun. It goes from a deep orange through gold and almost to yellow. I should have the Burly cable kit for my ape install this evening and the Big City Thunder baffles, and Kuryakyn Kinetic pegs are on the way.

It took about 6 hours to get it all installed and adjusted. The ride is totally different! In a better way. Sitting up-right instead of hunching over changes the way the bike feels. With the apes, it takes a lot less input to the controls to move the bike. I would recommend apes to any of the taller riders that are having neck and shoulder pains after long rides. The mirrors are Arlen Ness and the bars are Burly narrow 14" with Kuryakyn Kinetic grips. The matching pegs should be in on Friday along with the Big City Thunder Monster baffles. I got the go ahead from SWMBO to get some led's for fathers day too. I'm going with orange Boogey Lights and their single color single zone controller that does the different blinking and breathing functions.
