Hoping someone can help me on this.

I removed all the turn signals from my 2008 XL883C and afterwards my bike wouldn't start.

So I disarmed the alarm system so the bike would start. Now it starts but when I start the bike I have to enter the alarm deactivation code and the alarm key stays on and my headlight and brake lights will not come on?

I don't think it's a wiring issue because everything is wired back the way it was before I took off the turn signals. Any suggestions?

 

Have you checked your fuses? There is a fuse that (I think) ties the tail lights in with the headlight etc. I don't have my manual in front of me to look ATM though. Maybe someone else with more knowledge will chime in.

 

I dont know why. or how. But my headlight stopped working after i ziptied the wires to clean it up once, took me an hour after checking everything to figure it out

 

Put the turn signals back on and see what happens..

 

Thanks guys, I checked the fuses and one was blown. Replaced it and everything seemed to be taken care of. Thanks for the help
