Hey guys, I'm sure someone else has run into this before? I'm installing 12" apes on my wife's 2002 883 and got the kit from burly to replace the cables. Obviously this kit was made for a single side brake but her bike has dual front brakes?! Do I simply remove one side or did I just blow $200?

 

You need to get a line that's made for dual discs.

 

I realize there is a extended replacement for the dial brakes. My question is if this will work as a single if the other caliper and rotor are removed? May not be ideal, but I'm getting tired of sinking money into her bike and not any of mine!

 

The brake feel will be off because the master cylinder is set up to push for two calipers (it's 11/16", while single discs are 9/16" bore).
