Yeah my wife loves the sundowner, but to me its just too wide and looks a little strange on my bike. The sundowner is about 12 1/2in at widest point on the passenger section. With the mustang seats that are advertised as 8in passenger, is that the measurement at the widest point? My stock seat is just about 8in, so I don't know that my wife would be happy with the vintage mustang seat.

Gonna look at the mustang and the sundowner, the mustang first since so many of you recommend it. I'm 6'5" and the wife is 5'1", so we're very different in sizes.

Hopefully we can find one soon....need to get her riding with me!

 

I have the 2007 1200 Custom and my son has the 2006 883 Custom. Each of us have the Sundowner seat. We love them and the girls we ride on the back love them. They are each different and can not be used on the other. The bikes changed where the electronics were put in 2007. You need one that fits your 2006 which is this one on eBay:

This is assuming you also have the stock 4.5 gal. tank. If you have the smaller 3.3 gal tank you can find them also on eBay. Don't let anyone sell you a seat that they say fits any year that cross that 2006/2007 boundary line. The one you want will only fit 2004 thru 2006.
