Default Will a Sportster fit me?

Sold my 2004 Wide Glide a few years ago and really want to get another bike. I love the look and concept (and price) of the Nightster but wondering if it is big enough for me. I'm 6'0 225lbs. Anyone about my size have one or ridden one that could give me their opinion of fit and rideability. Really looking to do some quick back road weekend runs and some bike night bar hopping as that is about all I have time for right now.

Any help, feedback would be appreciated.

With forwards my need are very close to a 90* angle I'm 6'1". It's a fun bike just sometimes wish I had a little bit bigger bike. Not power wise it's plenty fast.

I'm 6'0, 260 lbs and proud owner of a Nightster. I have no complaints about the fit and I'm running mid controls. I did raise the suspensions about half an inch which was nice but even stock the bike felt fine. If you find yourself uncomfortable get a set of forward controls or highway pegs. It's a fun bike.

I'm 6'2 200. I like the feel of my Iron. Go test ride one and see how YOU like it. We could say it's good, but it's up to you.

6'0", 190# and ride a Nightster with mid controls - very comfortable. 35 more pounds and I'd probably do something about the rear shocks, but I'd think fit-wise you should be fine, especially if you put forwards on it.

Have you added the big bore kit to yours? As I'm digging into Sporty's it seems to be a very popular mod.

I'm 6' 0" 220 lbs and am buying an iron 883, very similar bike to the nightster but has the 883 instead of the 1200, its my first bike so once im used to it ill upgrade the motor to a 1250. It feels comfortable to me with mids but ill probably add forward controls for a little more room.

A lot of guys here like the sportys but coming from a bigger bike you may feel funny on it, just something to get used to I'm sure.

Time will tell.
You'd better try one out first, I'd think?

Radio², I own an '09 Iron, and like you I'm 6'-0" and 225, but I don't feel like Herman Munster riding a tricycle, though I do have forwards. Before buying the Iron I sat on a number of bikes with mids and my knees seemed to be bent a wee bit too much, a bit high, and plain uncomfortable just sitting there...on the flipside the forwards just felt so much more natural so that's what I made sure I went with. The combination seems to work for me but what's good for me may not be good for you.

Regardless, I say...go for it!

Rent one for the day. Then you'll know.
