Default How 'rough' is your Iron at highway speeds?

Was out on the interstate today. Was wondering what other Iron owners think about their bikes at highway speeds. Was out on the interstate today, and between 65 and 70, the bike is definitely a bit rough.

I will say that one of the things I like about the Iron is that you CAN feel the bumps in the road and you're not isolated from the road. It was definitely a bit of an adventure out there today. I should add that it was fairly windy today...beautiful but windy.

Iv found on the highway wind is going to play a big role in the bikes smoothness. I have a 1200N and anywere up to 90 is smooth riding. But on a windy day I look like one of the terrible scenes from Ghost rider. (you know how his heads always bouncing left to right haha)

I noticed at first that it felt a little loose on the highway up around 70 but have since noticed that if I keep around 70-80 its not too bad a ride, just the wind pushes you a bit. Im not adding a shield though. Just wouldn't look right i think. I would say that the more you ride it the more comfortable with it you will get.

Sporties all have crappy suspensions. Put a set of progressive shocks on the rear - made a huge difference on my bike. The 883 is not a good long mile highway bike. Thinking it needs the 1200 kit as I find its working much too hard on the highway.

I don't go over 70 much. But at 70 the bike runs just fine. I think that is the sweet spot for mine. The wind moves you around, but I haven't found a shield that looks good with my bars. the suspension is rough but I like to feel the road.

My 1200c is nice and smooth up to 90 when rinding solo. If ur riding 2 up its not horibble but u can feal the road a little more.

Rough. Completely replaced my suspension, and added a gladiator windshield. That all definitely helped, but 70 MPH I don't like to do if can be helped.

I think its not the ride but the wind has a big influence on how the big feels at speed. Because its so naked everything just hits u.

I find wind being pretty rough even at 50-60 mph in my iron. I wish there was a windscreen that actually looked good and wasn't 500 dollars like the harley fairing.
