Cooler plug? Wouldn't you want the plug to produce the hottest spark possible.

Yes but my plugs are almost white, I just don't want to put a hole through the piston especially if I throw on my new airintake

i like seeing black on the thread area with light gray on the ceramic and ground electrode. thats just my opinion though.
