Headlight Bulb Replacement - Part Fit Question
I'm looking at the PIAA 70456 Xtreme White Plus H4 Anti-vibration Bulb to replace my headlight bulb. What I found online says this will not fit my bike (2012 Nightster). Does anyone know if this is true, or if it will fit?
Another question...I'm replacing the bulb because the high beam isn't working. I assume just the high beam burnt out as the low beam still works. Is there something else I should be thinking about such as a bad light housing/wiring, or is it probably this simple?

Bulbs occasionally blow - that is what they do! If you can see into the bulb, you may be able to see the damaged main beam element. If the glass envelope is discoloured so you can't see into it, it is blown! A new bulb is the only way ahead, although you should check for any damage to wiring. I can't think of any reason why that PIAA bulb won't fit, but hopefully someone else will know for sure.

Unless they changed the bulb configuration in 2012's these should work just fine. I ride to work from way out in the country at 5:00 a.m. in the morning and it's DARK out here.
Road Glide uses 2 bulbs but you can find singles I'm sure. (Or for this price buy the set and have a spare.)

I think the PIAA fitment guide is just out of date. Your Nightster uses an H4 bulb like all other Sportsters since at least 1984, according to the HD parts site. Can't imagine why it wouldn't work. BTW, the antivibration bulb will give your headlight a blue/purple tint. I bought the H4 Night Tech Halogen Bulb instead because it glows white. It's not listed as an antivibration bulb, but it is a powersports bulb which should react well to vibration. Just remember not to touch the glass part of the bulb when installing as oils from your fingers will cause the bulb to fail prematurely.
