Cool Where were all the 883 MEN owners??

I went to the Laughlin River Run over the weekend and out of the thousands of Harley's there I saw Seven 883's all ridden by women, I as well saw four 1200's, 1 owned by a women the other three men. I think I had the only Forty-Eight there because in the five day I was there I never saw another.

I ride an 883, though it'll be a Hammer 1250 soon as I get the cash together.

Men are seldom satisfied; first time they watch a 1200 pull away, they want one. I thought an 883 would be a fun bike at a lot less cost than a 1200 (got a used one at a very reasonable price), but was looking for a 1200 by the end of the month, but didn't find one I wanted till last year. Now I have both, kind of a waste of money insuring the 883; it probably isn't going to be around much longer. Especially since I also have a bagger; sure don't need 3 Harleys.

Been riding one four years. I put more miles in a year than almost every big twin rider I meet.

I've had mine for 14 months, and it's my first bike.. I'm still quite satisfied with the 883's power, but given the HP gains for the cash spent I feel like I might as well have the extra power. I've had it all over the mountains loaded down with camping supplies and it pulled just fine with my weight. I'm fortunate to have never had a 1200 around to ride.. I imagine that if I knew what I was missing I'd be hellbent on raising the cash instead of just waiting until it's comfortable to spend.

'07 883R over here. Same here though. Went up to Reno with the in-laws for Street Vibrations and I can remember seeing one other sportster.
