Where were all the 883 MEN owners??

No one has yet mentioned the gas mileage benefit of the 883 vs. 1200 (I think...I did read the whole thread). There are valid reasons for owning the 883. It's the same with V6 and V8 Mustangs. The V6 sells plenty.
Anyone who perpetuates this very old argument (i.e. Sporty = girl's bike) is trying to compensate for other, ahem, shortcomings.

I just got rid of my 883C last year. Wish I didn't have to, but I needed a bigger bike.
I rode that thing like a dirt bike and did a few 1000+ mile trips with the thing. I loved it. The only thing is being over 6'1" and above 240lbs it's tough to stay comfortable on that thing. Now I'm on a Dyna to keep myself comfortable.

I'm male and ride an '11 iron. I've ridden a few larger Harleys (road king, fat boy) and really disliked the feeling of the bikes. When I first saw an iron, I instantly wanted one...a feeling I have not gotten from any other harley model. I don't care if people think it's a girls bike. I've spent the last 16 years as an infantryman, the last thing I need is displacement to validate my manliness.
I love the iron 883. It's simple and to the point. I ride it every day it's not pouring out (I've put about 3k in two months). I'm not worried it gets dirty, I don't spend hours polishing the chrome. I've spent 16+ hours on it in a single day. For me, the bike is all about the enjoyment of the open road.
