dude here...i love my 883. Isn't it funny that people think the 883 is a girls bike? I've only ever heard people who don't own a Harley say that. Everyone without jealousy issues have nothing but encouraging things to say.

I have heard many people that own harleys refer to the 883 as a womans bike, but thats them. I own a 883 & i love it. Its a bad as heck. In my eyes, owning a bike is all about sound, look, & how comfortable you are on it. It isnt about the size of engine or how fast the bike can go. But, thats just my opinion

I have a 91 883. I ride it like I stole it everyday. Went on a 3500 mile road trip to the east coast and back last year. I stop in Harley shops sometimes and all I ever get is people looking at me like I am crazy to take this bike on trips.

Picked up my first Harley a few weeks ago... '05 883l. Love the bike. Came with a Thunderheader and sounds awesome.... Got many compliments from seasoned Harley Owners. Great bike for the $$.

I think the sportys are generally for the younger crowd. I've never been to the Laughlin Bike week, but I have stayed there for work a couple dozen times. It's definitely the eldery version of Vegas.
