Well, you have something to talk to the women with 883's about.

Who gives a crap what you ride? Don't be so insecure.

Laughlin River Run is quite over run with the clubbers..or at least used to be. Sporty's aren't your typical "club bike".

But yeh man, ride that sporty with pride! What it lacks in power, makes up for in fun.

Yup, 883 here. First bike so I wasn't confident jumping into a 1200 and I knew I could always do a 1250 to it while hanging on to my nice lower insurance

Got a 2013 Iron in feb.haven't rode in 30 yrs.,I have had other bikes,77 bonneville 750'76 Kawasaki 900,now that I am much older,no need for all that speed, this Iron is perfect for me right now may turn into a 1250,but on the other hand if I can ever afford to do that,I may just trade in the Iron and refinance one of the big boys

883 has all the power it needs for cruising, but feels pokey compared to a 1200, or at mine compare that way. I suspect if you rode a 1200, you'd really want one. If you can't afford it, probably shouldn't.

I bet all the guys with 883's were out riding them instead of standing around a parking lot talking about them.
My neighbour has a SG and I wave to him on my way out for a ride as he rolls it out of the garage, puts the radio on and spends all day washing it & telling "biker" stories to all the neighbours...I wave again as I return from my ride as he is rolling his back into the garage for the night.
