The main reason is because I haven't been riding for years so I don't feel that my skillset warrants a 13K Dyna all chromed out. I could ride this bike for a year or two and then graduate to something nicer.

I should add that I have more fun on this Sportster than I ever had with my 2000 Fatboy or 2007 Ultra!

can't buy roadsters anymore so it is worth grabbing and riding as it will probably always resell well. i think you made a good choice rather than stepping into a loan before you get your feet wet riding and have no idea what you really want.

I thought the thing when I bought mine, I hadn't owned a bike in 8 years. A few upgrades, namely a stage 1, shocks/springs and seat, and you might be surprised. I've had my '06 1200 Custom for 3 years now and have zero interest in Dyna or any other model.

It's loud as shiat!

I'm going to have the Harley Dealership look over it to make sure everything is ok. This is my first Harley so I'm a newb, but when it's cold, it's awful grumpy. It takes a minute or two to settle down or otherwise it'll stall fairly easily. Once it gets warmed up it's fine.
