Do you have the wrench for it? How did you buy the shocks? If you just gave the dealer your box, there's a special tool inside that grips into the holes at the bottom of the shock. If they didn't give that to you when you picked up your bike, you should go get it. Then, you just turn the bottom w/ the wrench/pliers to adjust.

Take the wrench, open it up, put the tabs into the holes on the bottom of the shock mounted to the bike. Then, use the wrench to rotate the bottom section of the shock. If I remember right, clockwise stiffens the shock, counterclockwise loosens it. You'll feel and hear it as it sets into the different preload positions.

At your weight, I'd recommend just stiffening one click. That should give you a softer ride and still prevent bottoming out.

I'm not sure just how much difference there is. I weigh a bit more than you, but not much. I bottomed out once with them on their lightest, out of the box setting. I bumped it up one notch and haven't had a problem since.

I also have the 412's I am 160pounds and I HAVE them on the lowest setting never had a problem bottoming out.Super Mario I'M sure you will be fine at your weight.Leave them the way they are untill you have a problem.Just my opinion.By the way are you interested in a badlander seat to get even lower to the ground.HA-HA!

The adjusters on the Progressives (at least on my 11" 412s) are not all that tight and I can just twist them by hand when needed and skip using the tool. Most of the time I find that the 3rd notch from lowest is comfortable for me and I'm 140. When I take the Mrs. for a ride I set them on the highest setting. I never really have a problem with them bottoming but find that when I set them to the lowest or first notch that I scape my exhaust or kickstand more often when cornering hard. They're nice shocks though and I love the ride and lower stance. Another thing you might keep and eye on is your belt rubbing the inside of the front pulley cover. Mine rubbed often over bumps but I fixed it by cutting my cover back some.
