2 into 1 exhaust ?
Is anyone running the Patriot Defender 2 into 1 exhaust with adjustable loudness ? Great price ! I like the looks, but don't know about durability and performance. Of course anything is better than stock.

One could modify it to fit. I thought about it since I am running roadster exhaust on a 97. kinda a bitch getting it to fit but completely doable.
I like the idea of this exhaust if I can make it quick to change. covered parking and leaving at ***** early in the morning pisses off my neighbors... So I have to push the bike in the street before starting
and as much as i LOVE everything loud.... 4 hours on straight pipes is deafening

I run one on my 1200C and have been playing with the flapper recently. The bike runs much better with it fully open and pretty much like total crap with it closed. There is a long thread on XLForum with dyno tests showing how horrible the pipe does with the flapper closed.
I imagine it would be fine as a short use solution to get out of parking garages or whatever. I've read where a couple guys have used generic choke cables to make the flapper adjustable on the fly.
One thing I've struggled with is that the closer exit of the pipe makes it drone BAD inside my full-face helmet. Worse than the Samson straight pipes I had on previously. Enough that I ordered a Bell 500 to try out since it is not loud at all with my 1/2 helmet.
The pipe is all stainless steel, so it will turn gold after running for a bit. Here is mine after a month.
