Default 2007 50th Anniversary only 1700 miles

I found this sportster for sale it is a 50th anniversary with 1700 miles, mint condition all orignal parts. The owner asking $6800 is this a fair price. This one is painted black.

A bit high, lots of room to make an offer if you really want it. I paid 8815.00 for mine, no freight or setup fees and no miles, 2yr warranty off the showroom floor.......

I think that is high for a private sale, but low miles makes it attractive. Offer him $6300. Bet he takes it.
This is worst time of year to buy.

True, the sun has only graced us with its presence over the last few days, so the bikers are turning out in force! OP may be lucky, but if the seller holds his nerve he will probably get his asking price.

I bought a 2006 with nearly the exact mileage for $4500. Anniversary just like aftermarket add-ons do not increase sale value to a buyer at least not me. To a collector than maybe. For me I'd give $5000 max. Like others have said riding season is among us, worst time to buy unless you can get a steal of a deal.

No matter what the book value is, it is worth what someone is willing to pay. You can use the book value as a guide though. But it comes down to really how much you desire a certain model. I wanted a 2007 XL1200R Roadster when looking for a Sporty. Given a choice between a 2007 Custom with 2000 miles or a 2007 Roadster with 4000 miles for more money, I would buy the Roadster as that was what I wanted....so...worth it to me but maybe not others.

Whatever you decide that bike has 6 year old tires on it and really isn't even broken in yet.

++

Dual rotor brakes, better leaning angle, tachometer ... etc.

Can't beat it if you are looking for riding fun.
