The other issue we discovered with the Hoppe fairing is that it is actually too small for my 1200C and would look ridiculous on the bike I was going to send it back, but I would have to pay shipping to get it there and they would also deduct shipping from my refund since they sent it out with free shipping. I'm going to try selling it on eBay.

I wonder if Hoppe has heard of the 48...
I bought my 08 used (under 1000 miles) and it came with the hard bags so I just had to cough up the $$ for the trunk, fairing, & paint. My son-in-law painted them up for me, so a bit of savings there.
From my conversation with Hoppe, I doubt it.

The fairing isn't wide or tall enough to look good on the bike. We held it up and it just won't fit right like it did on my 08.

aren't both bikes the same (08'-12-)? do you have the measurements of the fairing-width/height..

2011-up C's have the mid glide front end like the 48's.

yeah as we discussed earlier in this thread we are aware that it has the mid glide -- i assumed he meant the fairing itself had smaller dimensions and did not look right-not the mounting brackets

That makes sense if it was made using the narrow glide front end for design/fitment.

Maybe I didn't describe that problem correctly. With the way the fairing would mount on the bike according to the directions, it would sit too low and wouldn't clear the headlight. Because of the spacing of the triple trees, the brackets on the fairing need to be longer (along with wider) in order for it to sit correctly. The width would actually be fine. Hope that explains it better.

I believe 'Memphis Shades' is now offering BatWings, and Fairings for most Dyna's, and some Sporties....check their Website.
