Just found an article on the 2013 and it states 39mm forks so that must be what I have.
yup - you have 39mm mid glide -- i would call hoppe and ask if they have a fairing w/ brackets for mid glide, then just switch out the fairing you have - oh and today when i sign in i can see the pictures--that looks sick,i love it-hard bags and all.......sweeeeet ! hoping you post pics when you do this one-and keep thread updated w/ hoppe results for mid glide...if its available/--looks like the dyna one is for narrow front end-same part number as xl

That's what I want to do to mine, where did you get the fairing and the bags and what kind are they. I do want to leave mine as a 2 up riding. Love it super job.

It took way too many emails but I finally found out that Hoppe does not make anything that will fit the 2012 1200 Custom. Here's the full email conversation I had to have just to find this out:

Me: I am looking for a batwing fairing that will work on my 2012 XL1200C. I
purchased the XLS from another vendor for the Sportster but the brackets are
about 1.75" narrower than my forks. Please help. :-)

Hoppe: That's the only fairing that we have for the sportster

Me: So do you have any other fairing that would fit? My bike has 39mm forks that measure approx. 8.5" center to center, the same as a Mid Glide.

Hoppe: If you have the 39mm forks then that fairing should of fit

Me: The size of the forks is not the problem, it's the distance between your brackets. Apparently you are not aware that the 1200 Custom now has a wider front end than previous models, hence the brackets on the fairing are too narrow. I need to know if any of your fairings will fit the Dyna Mid Glide, if so, I will purchase one of those. The only one shown under Dyna is for the narrow front end, which my bike does not have. Maybe someone in your fabrication or parts department might understand the problem I am experiencing and be able to help me out.

Hoppe: No I’m sorry we don’t have anything yet for that model
I love their fairings but their customer service leaves A LOT to be desired.

Thanks Joe. The fairing is from Hoppe Industries and the bags/trunk are Harley.

is there any way to fabricate mounts for the one you have ? maybe to the triple trees instead of the fork tubes ? or use the wider bracketed one and spacers ? that s--ks that they do not make one--(yet) if they feel the demand they will come up w/ something.......are you sending back the one you have ?

I have those H-D hardbags too.
They were a lot cheaper in 2006.
I wonder if Hoppe has heard of the 48...

That looks sweet! Do you have contact info for the guy that made it? I'd love to see if he could do something for mine.
