Default Vance & Hines Straightshots Originals

I want to wrap the baffles in my Vance & Hines Straightshots Originals with fiberglass packing to quiet them down. As shown in the photo, the baffles do not have a taper in the middle where I can wrap fiberglass.

Is it possible to wrap the baffles in fiberglass and reinstall them in the pipes? Is the fit too tight with fiberglass packing?

There are youtube video's showing aftermarket baffle's and how to pack them for the Vance and Hines pipes. Your baffle's look similar to the ones in my Vance and Hines straight shot slip-on's, cylindrical and less restrictive than most baffles out there. They are only one step away from straight pipe and not meant to be wrapped.

I found a tech support number on Vance & Hines' web site. The person I spoke with said there's not enough clearance in the pipes for fiberglass packing. He also said there is no other (quieter) baffle for the Straightshots Original. Guess I'll continue to enjoy the thunder. Just hope my neighbor does, too.
