ultima's look great and they are tempting to buy... but I can't seem to shake the neg feedback i see on these forums... (mostly about stiffness)

how do they ride on yours? what psi do you have them set at? do you ride 2 up?

it seems most people dont know how to adjust their shocks, or are buying the wrong shocks?
My thoughts were that there was nothing you could do to Sportster that could possibly be worse than the stock rear suspension outside of solid struts. I ran those shocks on that bike at 3psi and it was threefold better than what I started with. Those same shocks will be going on my new upcoming Sportster build as well if that tells you anything.

I keep stock (loaded up to one-off the top notch), as I want to get some training for rigid frame bikes
Which might be my next kind of bike.

Another vote for HD air shocks, great ride & handling @0 PSI solo & 5 PSI 2up.
I got mine used on kijiji for $50.00, best 50 bucks I have spent so far!

I got a irresistable deal on 13" roadster shocks from a member on this sight. $35 got them to my door. I put them on my Nightster with some 1" lowering blocks from DK and it's night and day from those stockers. I can lean it almost like my old Ninja without scraping the jiffy or the exhaust. Railroad track no long knock fillings loose either. I haven't done 2 up yet on them, but the previous owner said they worked out pretty well for him. If I change them again I'm definitely going RK from all the rave reviews. But if you can find a set cheap I wouldn't hesitate on some roadster shocks.

I run the stock suspension. I used to get tail bone pain after a long ride until I installed the frame mounted highway pegs that basically install where forward control would. I do have a Sundowner seat but a Sportster is a handling bike so im not looking for a floating ride like geezer glides have. I'm 6 foot 1 at about 230 for reference sake. If I want to drive a straight line one day i'll buy a Road King.
