Talking How to make turn lights also brake lights?

I see videos on the net where people do away with their rear brake light, the one on the center of the rear fender.. and somehow make the rear turn lights work as brake lights as well.. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks for any help!

I did my wife's and filled the hole where the center brake light was (instead of chopping the fender there).

To use the stock turn signals you'll need a run/brake/turn module. You can get one at your dealership. It's plug & play but you end up with a ball of crap you don't need.

The module looks like this.

Unplug the tail light harness under your seat. Plug the bike side in to one side of the module and the fender side in to the other side of the module. But, to clean it up, cut the fender side plug off and run new wires straight to your turn signals.

Pop on red lenses and you're good to go.

Thanks MReed... I made a PDF of this post so I can use it when I do the job...

After looking up the part number for Harley.. I did not find the Harley harness online.. but I did end up finding the below...I guess I will either get the one you showed me and do it like you said... or maybe get one of these..??

http://www.biketronics.com/products/...Tailbones.html

Some ppl posted in another forum that they tried the HD part.. but people did not see much change in the turn, light, and the braking light.. so they got this..

Have you seen these

I have the HD branded running/brake/turn signal module. It's $50 and works well. It's plug and play.

I do have a light under my chopped fender but always feared not to be seen so I purchased 2 dual terminals on ebay (very cheap) and just disepted the wires going to my taillight.

Auxiliary Brake Light / Running Light / Turn Signal Conversion Kit - Bullet Lens Style

Turn signal module adds an auxiliary brake light and running light function to your existing turn signals for auxiliary rear lighting. Red lenses glow when the headlamp is on, and increase in intensity when brakes or turn signals are activated. Easy-to-install, the kit simply plugs into your existing wiring harness. Red turn signal lenses are included. Meets DOT requirements.
