Default Windshield on sporty

A good friend of mine (female) has a nice sporty ( her first bike ) and she rides it very well, but says it can be a workout and a handfull at highway speeds. A group of us plan on some long trips this season and I was wondering how much help would a windshield be for her?

you may want to post this in the Sportser Section...
But to answer your question... Yes.. a windshield will help immensely.. It did when I had mine..

It will help her a lot. I had the same issue on my first long ride. Felt like I'd boxed several rounds. I won't ride without a windshield anymore. I still get wind in my face but it doesn't beat me up anymore. Best $ I spent!

It will help alot like said above. I love riding without a windshield but I bought a quick detach one right before I went to Sturgis (700+ plus miles each way) a couple years ago and it made a world of difference. After riding hard all day I didn't feel tired and beat up so I would recommend one. If I am not on a several day trip then it is off the Sporty and I am back to enjoying the wind in my face.

I have a quick release windshield and i wont go on the highway with out it. I'm a 6'1" and 180lb 26yr old guy, the wind is a killer.

I added a quick-detach windshield to my sporty, and it made a big comfort differance for me at highway speed. I'd recommend it for anyone that was planning to put significant highway miles on.

I would recommend the quick-detach as well. I wouldn't buy it directly from HD though. Check eBay/Craigslist every day for a few months and you can find one for cheap.
