Let me rephrase......with saddlebags and windshield looks more uni-sex.

The way my sportster sits right now looks right now I think it looks like it should be ridden by a 20 something guy, I'm a 49 year old woman with no experience, don't want to look like I'm trying to race.

And the bags and windshield are practical and I like the look, so that's what I'm working towards.

Well there ya go Teresa. Make it your own. Like my wife's Sportster she wanted bags, windshield, engine guard and some other blingie stuff. It her bike so she gets what she wants. I just have to help her a little bit to put stuff on. I come home from being away for months at a time and she has new parts ready to go.

I ordered a MS Del Rey for the 883 along with some Viking bags, should be in today. The Del Ray is the smallest they make I think, Ill let you know how it works.

I have to ride with a windshield also but I cut them down to where I can see over the top.

Got it installed.........think it looks pretty good and Im not a windshield guy Installation couldnt have been easier, they give you everything you need including tools. Took all of 15-20 minutes to install. Havent had a chance to ride it yet, Im also installing some viking bags and that will take substantially longer.

I'm looking at the National Cycle 'Gladiator' screen. Fully adjustable and suits the look of the bike. Only problem is it won't fit my 2013 Custom as HD changed the top triple tree clamp & risers, on the 2011 and later models. Waiting for NC to bring out a new mount, but may experiment in the meantime. Reckon it will be worth the weight though.

I got my engine guard and windshield Friday night and my saddlebags will be in later this week. I took the stuff out of my car and set it in the garage near my bike. This morning I go to leave and it's gone.....hhhmmmmm....I go back in the house and low and behold there's my pretties out of the boxes in our sunroom. Guess hubby had to open my presents.

I am hoping my fender is done getting painted and he will put it all together next weekend while I'm taking my safety class.

Had a chance for a couple of rides with the Del Rey. First time out sucked............BAD. Extreme head bobble. But I noticed if I lowered my head a bit everything was smooth. So before the ride today I raised it up as far as it would go.........PERFECT.......almost. Very smooth no buffeting........but very loud wind noise compared to no windshield. This is for my GF though so Ill need to readjust for her..........hopefully its not loud for her.
