That sucks. That wasnt my experience though. The axle I got with my kit didnt work either, but there is no axle that would work with my 48. The lower forks on a 48 are different than other sportsters. I emailed him with my phone number and he called within a few minutes of me emailing. I never specified I had a 48 when I ordered. He knew the 48 was different but has never had a chance to get ahold of one to measure so he can have the correct axle. He offered (if I sent him my forks to measure) to make me an axle and spacers that would work free of charge. I ended up going a different route and using the forks off my 883.

Is your wheel a 2000-up version?

We are missing some info here. I find it hard to believe they shipped a kit without a disc spacer and your wheel hub looks odd. Put your caliper on and install the rotor and show us where it's at.

Here is the Vulcan kit complete...

Spacer clearly shown on the Vulcan site... http://vulcanworks.net/store_4/produ...&cat=11&page=1

Yup. Didn't get a spacer or fender spacers. Told them about it. They didn't get back to me. Thought that with the 16" rim I wouldn't need it because it was wide enough. Ordered it right from their website. Answered all questions asked. They did however send me a headlight housing because I said I paid for the kit but didn't receive fender or disc spacer and why do I pay same price as someone running the narrow rim? Hopefully I can get this worked out. I will have pics as soon as I can with rotor on b

Your Absolutly 100% correct. I put the rotor on and put the wheel back on and the tire hit the fender before I could even get the caliper to touch the bolts through the bracket. Need of a brake spacer. Wish me luck with Vulcan! And yes they didn't send me a spacer. Thanks for all the input guys. Will post back ASAP.

Good luck! My experience with them was almost as bad as Flat Iron's.
