Makeover Complete = My Sporty Bagger

Thanks guys, I appreciate the positive comments. I love a lot of the other styles I see here, but they wouldn't be nearly as functional for me. Being that I live in a small mountain community, a bar hopper wouldn't work for me. It's only a 20 mile ride around the lake and you're back where you started. So I need it to be reasonably comfortable for at least a couple hundred miles, and this should work out fine. It's all about compromise.
No way Jose! I actually tried a couple different sets of badges on to see which I liked best. I ended up putting the stock badges back on because they looked real clean & crisp to me with the black of the tank.
Keep an eye on eBay for used badges, I've found them for great prices in the past.
You bet, I'll get some more pictures of the bags shortly. It's a 7" Fat Boy headlamp from Drag Specialties. I found it on eBay for $85 shipped. I tinted my windshield then later decided to tint the headlight lens to match. It's actually a bottom mount headlamp, but I just turned it up-side-down and attached it to the stock top mount. For the high beam to work correctly the headlight needs to be mounted right-side-up. So I just re-notched the headlights retaining ring in the housing to accommodate.
Very cool, be sure to post some pics!

Our struts taper inward toward the back of the bike. Which would have had the bags taper in as well. By shaving 3/8" off the inside of the front mounts, the front & rear of my bags are an equal distance from the fender. They look great!
BTW, these bags were only $123.09 shipped to my door. IMO that's a great price on this quality of saddle bags.
