The ECM does not use the SMART tune software, your computer does. When your SEPST is connected to the bike and the record mode is turned on all it does is work as a storage device as it gathers information from the o2 and other sensors. When you get home you hook the SEPST up to your pc and the SMART tune software uses the recorded information to update/change your current map if you so desire. So the ECM really doesnt have much to do with the SMART tune itself.

Oops, I didn't mean to suggest that the OP should buy a new tuner. I was referring to Roni's post as he asked "which tuner?" So I suggested some other tuning options.
