Default Michelin Commander II

About a year ago, I put a set of these new (at the time) tires on my Ultra Classic. I promised to give a report after logging some miles.

After over 10,000 miles, in extreme heat, cold, and also wet weather, I like the tires. And they seem to be living up to the claims of long tread life.

These are on my Ultra, and I will stick with Metzlers on the Sporty, but I remembered I would report back on the Michelin Commander II

same here, I have about 1,000 miles on mine so far and love them! I rode in the mountain twistes for the first time last weekend and they performed flawlessly...........diving in and out of corners.

Glad to hear the good reviews, I have a set in my basement, just waiting for spring to finally come around so I can get them put on.

If you're looking for high mileage tires with a good grip, you may want to consider the new Metzler me888's. They're new for 2013. They seem to be getting very good reviews. Just put a pair on my Sporty.

I installed the Commander II about a month a go, it hasn't been on the road yet. Had I known where it was made I'd have gotten a Dunlop Elite III instead. But as handsome Harry Clay said, "I gotter boy".

That's gotta be tough, staring at brand new tires and you can't ride!

Perfect timing on the report back. i just read the original post the other day. I'm tossed between the Commanders and the Dunlop Elites. The Commanders are starting to win the positive feedback polls.

Wel i have 7700 on my stock dunflop, it might have 2/32nd if i check it before i ride it again. Front one is more than half tread left , but i am trying to deside what kinda tire to put on mine. Is the michelin noticabley more narrow, i am ready its about 15mm slimmer and i just dont know if i will like that. i need a mileage tire though.
