Default finaly painted my fairing BUT

So I painted my fairing last nigh and it looked great. I was vary suprised at the turn out since I just used spray paint( not cheap stuff but 7 dollers a can). But I got in a hury and was exited to get it back on. I didn't relize the paint was still wet so now there are finger smuges every were and my fingers are black. Now I have to sand it back down and repaint. Next time I will wait tell the next day to put it all back together.

Rather no so clever. Normal paint needs at least a few days I would guess.
Don't worry, we all make mistakes and I'm sure you're not the first......or last to make this kind'a goof-up.

If you applied good amounts of clear, you can sand and buff it and most likely the finger prints will go away

It's tough to wait when you want too see how something looks on your bike. I usually let things off-gas for at least 5 days, did it look good?

Ya it looked great tell I touched it. And thanks knight there was plenty of clear coat so I will have to try this. Plus there was 9 or 10 coats of paint so I will try. Eather way I have to sand it down so its worth a shot.

I also went ahead and installed a chrome ciggaret lighter since I had the fairing apart anyways and found the lighter in a box figured why not. Had to do somthing inbetween coats.
