H-D quick release detach here. standard height. Works great and off in seconds for rides around town.

Don't limit yourself to H-D only parts, unless there is some reason not stated in your post, like a dealership gift card.

Otherwise, you owe it to yourself to at least check out the Memphis Shades offerings before pulling the trigger.
ABSOLUTLEY THE NICEST SIGNATURE BLOCK ON THE SITE!
I'm wondering if there's a possible screen saver edition of that sig!!! SWEEET...
WELL -- whoever came "back to life" as that seat (in pic two) sure was lucky for the moment! Perhaps for only that moment though!

Ya'll are great - really appreciate your thoughts and opinions.
I'm 5'2" so shouldn't have to do any cuttingon which ever one I go with. Windshields on Sportsters aren't my favorite look, but investing in one for the long hauls seem like the way to go. Definetly will be going with the detachable style, one that's smoke tinted, I think.
Thanks again.

I have the HD super sport detachable. It is a great sporty looking(smaller) cut windscreen. I can run 85 MPH on the highway all day long.

OK, my turn. I recommend National Cycle. Here's a link to the page that has all that they offer for your bike.
http://shop.nationalcycle.com/perl/cycle/nresults2.html?search_model=hr-052
I have the Switchblade 2-up windshield and chrome lowers. The windshields pop right off but will lock in place for security. I'll be getting the tinted shorty for the warmer months. But the great thing is that I can switch between the two in seconds.
Here's a shot of what I have.
Good luck!

Checked out the national cycle website - lots of choices, which is always good. Also glad to see that I don't have to relocate my turnsignals, something that I really don't want to do. Really appreciate your help.

If you notice though, I did relocate my front signals. This is because I didn't like all the reflection inside the windshield at night. Your choice.

Good Point! I hadn't thought about the issue of the turn signals being reflected at night. This is why it's so important for me to listen and learn from all of you. Thanks!
