Thanks, those Velcro closures are actually great at keeping the shape of the lids. They are somewhat of a PITA when opening and closing the bags, but they keep water out and hold the shape as well. The quality of the leather looks great IMO. They're pretty nice bags overall. And at about 1/2 the price of HD bags, they seem to be quite the bargain to me. But it's all subjective of course. Good luck with your next set of bags.
I agree 100 percent on the value. They come with mounting hardware, turn signal relocation kit and for the price you probably can't beat them. We may end up installing a set of Road King Custom leather bags on her bike if we don't find anything else.
Eve, you just cut down the mounts? I think Ill do that..........looks much better your way.
Rog - Actually I had to alter the application to begin with because of the old support brackets. I had a lift back then and was able to remove the back wheel to install the old brackets. Fast forward to last week - No lift to remove the wheel and no blade to cut the bolt so, I had to improvise. Which worked out beautifully
What I wound up doing is reversing the brackets and using the smaller part on top, drilled out the holes to allow it to be recessed used 2 large washer/spacers for stability and Viola! Hugging the chrome
