The quick detach makes the bags stand out to far IMO. as much as I removed my other bags I figured I'd just hard mount them.

with the lowering kit and RK shocks...I had to modify the brackets a bit by bending them a bit. so I have about 1/4 inch of clearance. if I load them they still dont touch

To add to my last message if you use just the quick detach hardware they would pry look nice. But i have a quick detach sissy bar that i take on and off so i trimmed the tops of the mounting posts so i could fit my sissy bar hardware in between the frame and the bag to make it closer to the bike. Not seen in pictures

I just installed a pair of the Viking Bags Low Charger Braided Saddle Bags on my 2009 HD Sportster XL883L. They are perfect for my needs and they look great. I used the QDS and believe me, it was the best $99.00 I ever spent, the bags lock on the bike and can be unlocked and removed easily if necessary. I also like how they came with shoulder straps making it it easy to carry them inside. Customer service is excellent and Bobby is easily accessible by phone if you have any issues or problems... In short, great product and great company.

Ride Safe,

A bump and a quick question. Im in the process of installing some Viking bags on my 883. The tops of the mounting brackets have a built in spacer, all 4 are the same width. The fender struts on the bike are slightly wider at the front mount than they are at the rear mount. Since all 4 spacers are the same width will this not cause the bags to be push out a bit at the front? Kinda like this-> \ /
