Default Sissy Bar Decission

Thinking about installing a sissy bar seen two in the H/D parts catalog I am intrested in but not sure how high the top of the pad would sit when installed.

The two I am looking at are the short p/n 52737-94a and the med low p/n 52754-04 bars on pg 85 (2007) parts catalog.

Anyone have either of these installed and could you measure the height from the fender to the top of the pad.

Thanks
Tom

I have a shorter one but couldn't use it with my Sundowner seat. The pad hits the seat before the mount holes line up. It'll go on without the pad on it. The taller of the two (52754-04) works fine. If you have the stock seat, you should be able to use either one.

I have the middle size one on my bike, wife likes the back rest pad at that height and it is also high enough for our travel bag that slides over it, which we use for overnight trips.

On a Harley, they are called BACK RESTS. On anything else they are called sissy bars.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Had the medium... but changed to the tall.... figured if I were ever to travel... could put a taller bag on it....

Thinking now about just taking the whole dang thing off... lol

Like my height just fine. Haven't decided if I'll get a pad or not.

I am totally with davidC, same situtation. Wife doesnt get straps on her back. And... she has back issues and loves the height of that one. I have the same. Detachable, so you can take it off when you want to roll solo.

i have the tallest one. wife loves it. the medium-low, on one_sanatarium's (my buddy's), his wife hates it because the top of it goes right in the small of her back. she calls it a butt rest, cause it comes right above the top of her butt. they took my bike out one night and she's been bitch'n for him to get the tall one like i got. hope this helps.

later,

wanna

ps if you want i'll measure it tommorw and put the pad and passenger peg on and take a pic or two. if you want that is.
