I'm plotting my first major trip from Baltimore to bike week in Daytona and i don't know what to take.

1. *change[d] the oil(missing oil incident),
2. *changing the transmission fluid (which is going to be oil [synthetic+ 20w whatever from the stealer]) once the snow clears),
3. *checking the tires and all that good stuff,
4. *going to buy a handle bar tool bag ( what do i put in there?)
5. *scouring ebay and cragislist for saddle bags (any advice?) i have a solo seat
6. *buying a usb power outlet.
7. should i buy a windscreen?
8. highwaybars?

what do i really need to focus on and what if any warnings do you all have?
what should i be packing? i'm only staying there for two days max before heading to Tallahassee. then coming back up.

the bike is not 100% the same as it was in this photo but, the rear is. what needs to be done back here for saddle bags?

 

Checking all the basics( oil/tires/lights) is just common sense. As far as saddlebags, you'll want some type of bracket to block the bags from rubbing the shocks/ wheels. How about just getting a backpack of some sort to use? I think some type of backrest is something you'll really appreciate if you can swing it.

Cell Phone, Credit Card and a great big smile is all you'll need ... and ... you might want to rest up a bit before you go 'cuz you're gonna have one hell of a good time in Daytona!!

 

FedEx or UPS a box of extra clothes down to whatever hotel you'll be staying at.....Ship box of dirty clothes back home when checking out.
