Turn signal, brake light, running light prob
I have a 2000 sportster 1200. It has lots of things changed from the original. The tail light and signals are aftermarket, in the process of changing tires the new tires ate up the wiring, I have a new wiring harness for the back lights I am having trouble sorting out the wiring. The harness plugs in under the seat no problem. From the tail light there are 2 wires red and black, then the signals have 2 each a violet and a black. My harness has a violet, black, blue, red w yellow stripe, an orange and a brown. Looking in the manual the factory lights were plug and play------this not so much, comming from each according to what Ive seen red, blue are for tailights and brake light. Violet and black for left turn signal leaving me w/ orange which book says non domestic applications and a brown wire which theoretically should be for right signal butr the right side has two wires violet and black. Im confused please help

for that clip the wire comming from the harness to the end of the wire where ya think it goes? or clip the end comming from the light and touch it to the wires in the harness till you find the one that lights it also on the lights do they all have or need a ground wire? Each light has two comming from it and they are all not connected, if Im explaing it properly

This am went at it agin thinking I had it figured out from the manual and another post here and lost all lights Im guessing Ive got some blown fuses and someone else said I might have tripped the circuit breaker which once cooled down again should reset itself. I thought I was making headway lost everything and just trying to figure my task for tonight when I get home in a couple hours
